Better off Ted Ep 7-12

after the latest release of "The Office", i couldnt really find another office-like kind of series to catch up on. It always intrigues one to know the endless what-if situations that play out.

And finally, Better off Ted, answered my call. It's a damn office-like scenario of a Research and Development Company, with a very decentralized widespan of control kind of organization. Not to mention, each episode has a story to share or basically a meaning that you can take home after watching it.

I missed the first few episodes because i did not really catch the business topics that they were trying to feature.

  • After a employee survey, there is a need to pay compliments for employees' hard work to boost morale. Employees may be allowed to customize workplace to express individuality but later thought to be too risky to customize as they wish. Company decides to express individuality for their employees in four different categorizes; cats, space, cars and sports. What are the impacts of this?
  • Is there a need to please everybody in the organization? Just because of trying to fit in?
  • Confronting any office romance?

Employee-boss relationships, how far will you go before it seems unethical to engage with activities with your boss?

never let an employee work with u as a boss.
a boss should know what position an employee is; so u dun mistaken his position and role
about being professional in the org means no sexual intent lol

  • In many organizations, communication is done through electronic mails. How effective is that in disseminating important ideas?
  • Always keep a hardcopy to proof that the document is sent to the other party, just in case he denies it.
  • Never engage in organization romance because there are always cameras watching.

  • Listen to your employees even if you are their boss, because they may be right.
  • Sometimes its not what you want, its what is the best for the other party
  • Beware of competitors and what they can do to steal your ideas.

  • Bosses and superiors will always presume and position themselves to know more than their employees because they want to keep their credibility and bold strength knowledge. To tell your employees that you are incompetent in some areas, may prove to be a weakness.
  • Bosses and superiors will pretend to know what you know, so as to be seen as kept in the loop. Being kept out of the loop means that you have become obsolete and is out of the job!
  • Using another rumor to reduce another rumor. Using a indefinite timeline to cover up for the rumor* (subjected to self image and credibility)

Ha, so far i watched until here. really brilliant tv series of office experiences.
